APC chieftain, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, has warned the state governors and party leaders, who are planning to attend the pre -election rally of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) billed for Thursday, in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, not to commit their time and resources into the exercise because it will only end in an ignoble defeat for the ruling party in the state.

Prince Adeyeye, in a press statement by his campaign organization, PAAM, explained that the state Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has ruined the party’s chances in the
forthcoming state governorship election, through his greedy and dictatorial attitude.

He added that all the founding fathers of the party which were in the party, before the state governor rejoined the party in 2012 after wandering about in several political parties for over seven years have all ditched the party, adding that the most devastating is the tsunami that hit the party after the recent Governorship primaries, with the mass exodus of prominent party leaders and the rank and file.

“He (Fayose) is aware of the imminent failure of the party in the polls and just using the rally and July 14 election to fleece the governors and party hierarchy of their money.”

The statement reads in part; “PDP is on its death throes in Ekiti State. the Governor has crippled the party and he knows he is going to lose the election, so he is just using the rally to fleece the governors and party hierarchy.

“As far as Fayose is concerned, everything is about making money. He is using his anointed candidate and election to make money, he is aware of the impending doom that awaits him and his candidate in the election,” Adeyeye said.

The former Minister of State for Works, said Fayose is staging the rally in a street because he knows he can no longer pack the stadium as was the case in 2014. “He had to use the street to give the impression of a huge crowd for the benefit of the cameras. On the other hand Dr Kayode Fayemi and the APC used the stadium only two weeks ago and it could not contain the surging crowd who split to all the adjoining streets. A case of contrasting and major reverse in fortunes.

“Those coming from Abuja should note that he is so low in confidence that he has to resort to using gimmicks and deceit to attract people to the Thursday rally.

“For example, he has instructed gullible unemployed youths in the state, to come to the rally with the forms which he distributed to them last week, when he promised to offer employment to 2000 youths to come to the rally to collect their letters of appointment at the rally. What a fraud?

“Here is somebody who couldn’t provide one job in almost four years in office, now offering non-existing jobs few weeks before his exit in office. He has ordered all the Local government and state workers to attend the rally, threatening to impose severe sanctions against anybody who defies his order. In other words, he is coercing them to do his bidding, even if it is against their wishes,” Adeyeye said.

The Ise-Ekiti prince, also took a swipe at Governor Fayose over his recent utterances, in which he accused the electoral umpire, INEC of planning to skew the election results in favour of Dr. Kayode Fayemi of APC.

Adeyeye alleged that these were lies from the pit of hell to justify his impending loss in the election and also to cover up his own plans to rig the election by using all sorts of illegal means.

According to Adeyeye, the governor is accommodating some foreigners in the government house, who are cloning PVCs that they have hoodwinked workers and teachers to part with.

The former Minister therefore called on the electoral umpire and the security agencies to beam their search lights on the Ekiti State Governor and government House to forestall the criminal manipulation of the Governorship elections.
