Nollywood Actress, Funke Akindele has debunked reports that she has moved into a private estate in Lekki, Lagos with a new lover.
In a press statement released by her representative, Funke said that “It will be vainglorious to make it a media issue, just as it is condescending to claim any imaginary lover paid for the apartment”
In Funke’s words, “In the past few months, I have enjoyed tremendous love from my fans, family and brands that I represent. I cherish every second I get to spend with my colleagues on sets because it has been rewarding.
“I look forward to many more precious moments in the years ahead. I appreciate the concern of fans and a section of the media on this matter of the heart, but I plead for understanding as I continue to concentrate my creative energy on my career and immediate family.”
The actress whose nine months old marriage to Kenny Oloyede crashed mid last year, was however quoted recently as that she would want to settle down fast and start bearing children, seeing that age is not on her side.
“People should keep their fingers crossed and pray for me to meet the bone of the bone of my bone and the flesh of my flesh and not somebody else.
“It is one of my dreams to bear children soon and I believe it will come to pass soon. Once I start my home, I hope to cut down on acting so that I can give my family more attention,” she says.
“Some of my mates have more than three kids today,” Funke laments, again going spiritual; “Perhaps, this is how God wants me to be for now. When the time comes, and that time could be anytime, I hope to put acting on hold for a family,” she had said.
