The Oyo state House of Assembly has approved the appointment of 10 special advisers sent to the House by Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
At the plenary on Thursday, speaker of the house, Micheal Adeyemo however did not reveal the identity of the nominated aides of the Governor.
Adeyemo who presided and read the letter he received from the governor noted that the approval was necessary to enable the governor carry out his administration’s activities without further delay.
The plenary which was held within an hour also seized the opportunity to receive the report of the recently held retreat for the 32-member house.
The bills which seek for the merging of ministries from 23 to 13 which include Ministry of Education, Science and Technology law 2015, Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Corporatives Laws 2015, Ministry of Finance and Economic Development law 2015 passed through first reading in the house.
Also, a law to repeal some laws in Oyo state and other matters connected therewith as well as ministry of Environment, Physical planning and urban development law 2015 were also read in the house.
