Fans and colleagues of popular actress, Omotola Ekeinde, have continued to send prayers and well wishes to her after she revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19.
Ekeinde said she had been away from the media because she was in isolation. She, however, noted that she was currently recovering and would give more details about her experience soon.
The actress wrote on her Twitter handle, @realomosexy, ‘’Hello all, I know most of you have been wondering where I’ve been. Well, I contracted COVID-19. I have been ill, in isolation and now getting better. Details of this soon.”
Shortly after her post, several individuals including media personality, Mo Abudu; singer, Waje; entrepreneur, Adebola Williams, prayed for her.
@Officialwaje wrote, “Awwww sis. Get better sis.” @moabudu wrote, “Sweetheart, sorry. Wishing you (get) better. All my love.”
@yeshuasownest wrote, “Your healing is perfected in Jesus name. Please, study more of God’s word, build up your faith, refuse fear, and watch God do His work ma. Shalom.”
The actress, who has always been vocal about political and societal issues, also said she was worried about the many deaths caused by trailers and containers on Lagos roads. She called on the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to act fast in addressing the challenge.
“I have been reading devastating news of how our youths are needlessly dying; getting crushed by trailers/containers. This is disheartening and has made my heart really troubled.
“This can happen to anyone and enforcements can’t be taken lightly on this. Governor Sanwo-Olu, please do something,” her post read.
This is coming after a young lady, Immaculate Okochu, was killed by a truck on her way to work on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, when a truck rammed into her and a motorcyclist at Badore in the Ajah area of Lagos State.
The late 24-year-old, who had her introduction in March, was due to get married in October.
