Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade on Thursday narrated how President Muhammadu Buhari’s integrity and simplicity lured him into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Prof Ayade, who recently dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling APC, spoke in Daura, Katsina State. He was one of the 12 members of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), who paid Sallah homage to the President in his country home.
The governor said the President has lived above board in his entire life. “Buhari has lured me into APC through his simplicity and integrity, a quality that is rare to find in most people.
“For instance, the President has lived in the same house structure for the past 30 years, yet nothing has been added, being a President twice yet living the same house till today and no false acquisition of wealth.”
According to him, the President has agreed to inaugurate some projects undertaken by his administration in Cross River State by September.
He listed a cocoa processing factory and a rice milling company as two of the projects that will be inaugurated by the President during the visit.
