Tinubu departs to India

President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja, the country’s capital city, for the G20 summit in New Delhi, India.

Tinubu departed in the early hours of Tuesday. The summit is expected to hold from September 9 to 10.

On September 1, Ajuri Ngelale, presidential spokesperson, said Tinubu seeks to attract foreign investments to the country during the summit.

The presidential spokesperson said his principal will meet with world leaders and heads of state, in addition to industry titans, and chief executive officers of some of the most valuable corporations in the world.

Ngelale said his principal would host a roundtable meeting during the summit with more than 20 chief executive officers from different economic sectors.

While the president is away in India, the presidential election tribunal will on Wednesday, deliver judgment on petitions challenging his victory in the February election.
