Former Vice President and presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Atiku Abubakar, said on Sunday that he would not give up his bid to become the president of Nigeria.
Abubakar who made this declaration in Dutse, Jigawa State, shortly before holding a 90 minutes closed-door consultation with Governor Sule Lamido, said he was determined to continue to vie for the office of President even if he loses the APC ticket for next year’s election.
He, however, said his chance of winning his party’s primary on December 10 was bright, adding that he was ready to support whoever emerges at the primary to ensure the person’s victory at the 2015 presidential election.
Abubakar earlier told journalists that he was in Dutse to interact with his party’s delegates ahead of the primaries.
He also criticised the invasion of the APC data office in Lagos by security operatives.
