Former Minister of State, Budget, and National Planning Prince Clem Agba said the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State has prepared grounds for the All Progressives Congress (APC) victory in the September 21 governorship election.

He said the APC is already coasting home to a landslide victory due to the abysmal performance of the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration in the state.

Agba, who said this while addressing newsmen at the National Secretariat of the APC in Abuja after submitting his governorship expression of interest and nomination forms, also declared that it will be a lot easier for the APC to win if he secures the party’s ticket during the February 17 party shadow election.

The governorship hopeful noted that the people of the state are disenchanted with Obaseki’s administration, claiming the PDP-led administration in the state has been characterised by bad governance.

Agba said: “PDP has already campaigned for APC. Not just by the crisis in the party but by its poor performance. People of Edo State will not waste their votes on the PDP come September.”

He made references to the 70 projects he attracted to the state as a minister, insisting that he remains the best among the aspirants, irrespective of party affiliations jostling for the governorship of Edo State.
