Dogara defeats Gbajabiamila to emerge House of Reps Speaker

Honourable Yakubu Dogara has been elected Speaker of the 8th House of Representatives.

Dogara polled 182 votes to defeat his closest rival Femi Gbajabiamila, both of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 176 votes.
