Bauchi Police arrest notorious wanted Boko Haram

A suspected notorious member of Boko Haram, Muhammad Adamu Nafiu who relocated to Tama village in order to evade arrest after they were dislodged by troops at Sambisa Firest, has been arrested by the Bauchi [police command.

Preliminary investigation also revealed that suspect was among those declared wanted by the Nigerian Army on Serial Number 176 on its wanted list.

Meanwhile, he has voluntarily confessed to have killed over 150 people in Baga LGA of Borno State. Case under investigation after which suspect would be handed over to the appropriate authority for discreet investigation please.

Similarly, the Command in collaboration with Military have arrested one Osama Abubakar male, aged 20yrs of Malam Goje Street of Bauchi.

Suspect allegedly used a sharp knife to off the left hand of one Abdul-aziz Mohd male, aged 23yrs of Gombe Road Bauchi who is also alleged to be a Sara-Suka member.

Exhibits recovered include Two Sharp knives used in perpetrating the act.

Preliminary investigation revealed that suspect is a notorious Sara-Suka thug who was convicted for similar offence in 2016.

Suspect voluntarily confessed and is assisting the police with useful information that will assist in apprehending his accomplices.

The command also arrested one Suleiman Umar male, aged 19yrs, suspect used sharp knive and inflicted deep cut on the right hand of one Salisu Harisu Hussaini male, aged 25yrs of Gwabba ward in Bauchi.

Exhibit recovered include one Blood stained knive in his possession. Suspect was charged to for prosecution

The police detectives attached to Yelwa Division also arrested
Ibrahim Ahmed male, aged 18yrs of Birshi Village Yelwa, Usman Yunusa male, aged 15yrs of the same address and Emmanuel Ayuba male, aged 22yrs of Yelwa Tsakani

Exhibits recovered include one sharp knife and one white regalia with inscription Young Money suspected to be used by cultist.

So far, the command, according to CP Garba Baba Umar, has arrested over 200 suspected thugs recovered offensive weapons and charged them to Court for prosecutions.
