Adamawa CAN lauds Nyako’s commitment to peace

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Adamawa State Chapter, has commended Gov. Murtala Nyako for his commitment to enshrining peace in the state.

Rev. Seth Ngurikan Adamawa CAN Vice Chairman who disclosed this on Wednesday when members paid Christmas homage to Nyako in Yola, said that the Nyako administration had shown open commitment to peaceful coexistence among the diverse peoples of Adamawa..

Ngurikan said that CAN would continue to collaborate with the government in promoting peace in the state.

He also commended the commitment of the general public and security agencies for their sacrifices for peace to reign in the state.

Responding, Nyako thanked the association for its continued support to peace in the state, adding that government would continue to collaborate with religious and traditional rulers in that respect.

The governor urged CAN to use the Christmas period to pray for more peace and prosperity in the state and the nation.
