The Kwara State Governor and All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate, Abdulfatah Ahmed, is leading with a landslide margin in the race to be re-elected as the governor of the state.
In the 14 local government results announced so far, APC cleared while results from the remaining two LGs are being awaited. APC polled 262,218 votes to beat PDP to a distant second with 102,911 votes while LP trailed with 2,840 votes
The state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Emmanuel Onucheyo, announced the break of the session pending the arrival of the collation officers from Kaima and Baruten LGAs. He added that the exercise would resumed by 6pm.
