The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC and incumbent governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi has so far won 15 out of the 25 local government areas of the state so far released at the Oyo state collation centre.
Labour party candidate, Alao-Akala has so far won in five local governments while Rasheed Ladoja of the Accord Party has so far won in six local government areas.
Meanwhile, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Teslim Folatin, has conceded defeat.
He conceded defeat in a radio broadcast at about 9:30 pm Saturday, thanking voters for their support.
Folarin, in a broadcast at about 9:30 pm Saturday the aired on an Ibadan-based private radio station, Splash 105.5 FM, said feelers from his agents in polling units across the state confirmed that there was no way he could still win the election.
“I thank our people for the support given to us during our campaign. It was humbling. For the eventual winner, I congratulate him in advance and promise to personally call him when he is declared the winner. For us, the people have spoken and we respect their wish. Thank you,” Folarin said in the broadcast.
Prof Ayobami Salami, the Retruning Officer announced the results.
