Al-Makura makes surprise return to Lafia, debunks death rumour

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Mkaura of Nasarawa State made a surprise return to the state on Wednesday, days after rumour of his death spread, amidst tight security.

The governor, who was received at the city gate of the College of Agriculture, Lafia by top government officials and APC executives, was driven in a motor cade round the streets of Lafia to the frontage of the Government House where he told the mammoth crowd that he has forgiven those who speculated his dead.

Al-Makura said with the emotions and sentiments being expressed by his supporters has confirmed to him that his mandate is real.

His words: “I have forgiven those who carried rumours of my death for their devilish act as you can seen I am hale and hearty and with this I will not still your money; I will provide the needed dividend of democracy that will impact on the lives of the less privilege.”
