Well ahead of the forthcoming April 11 governorship election, the governorship candidate of the All progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode, was on Monday admitted the Progressives Governors’ Forum by its chairman and Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

The action, unprecedented and said to be prophetic, took place during the town hall meeting at Amuwo Odofin Local government where Governor Okorocha said he was very sure of the victory for Ambode at the forthcoming election as the people of Lagos have already accepted him.

“Ambode, a man with a track record of excellent performance who served for 27 years in Lagos as Auditor General of Local governments and later the Accountant General of the State is the best thing to happen to Lagos. He possesses the wealth of experience to take Lagos to the next level.”

He charged all the Igbos in Lagos to “cast their vote for this man of destiny who God has prepared for this season,” noting that their lot will only be better under an APC-led government in Lagos.

He later presented Ambode and the deputy Governor candidate, Alhaja Adegbule to the people.

Ambode thanked Okorocha and promised to complete at least 25 roads in all the local government in four years, with a further pledge of accelerated and all encompassing development for Lagos.
