Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has dissolved the state executive council.
He announced the dissolution at the extended executive council meeting held on Monday inside the Council Chambers in the Governor’s Office at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
The dissolution came four days to the expiration of the governor’s first term in office.
Those affected by the dissolution are political appointees such as the the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Consultants, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants.
Addressing members of the extended executive council, Amosun thanked the political appointees for their support, co-operation and devotion to the accomplishment of the ‘Mission to Rebuild Ogun State.’
