The radio station, according to sources, operates on a powerful 500kw tranmitters on test transmission from 7:00am-7:30am on 11720khz on the 25 meterband shortwave.

The radio is pro All Progressives Congress (APC) and its leadership.

The sign-call of the radio is Radio APC, Radio Chanji, with several sources in Kaduna and Jigawa states confirming that its broadcast was received in several towns and cities like Kano, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Maiduguri, Yola ,Adamawa, Birnin Kebbi and Niamey Niger Republic among others.

Its programmes, according to those who have listened, have been largely APC musicals in Hausa language, hailing the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari and several party stalwarts from the north.

It could not be confirmed immediately whether the APC stalwarts indeed have any connection with the radio broadcast.

Umar Dankano, told our correspondent in Kaduna on Monday that the domination of the Nigerian broadcasting airwaves by non-professionals and elements of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who have employed hate, vilifications, inciting messages and outright abuse of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its leadership, may have spurred the opposition to look for alternative.

The unnamed female announcer said a 24-hour transmissions will soon commence to cover the pre-and post-election activities of the party including the phone-in programmes, on- the -spot assessments, interviews with various strata of the party’s faithful.
