The All Progressives Congress has retained the governorship seat in Nasarawa State.
The incumbent, Tanko Al-Makura, won the election with 309,746. Al-Makura defeated the candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Labaran Maku, and that of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Kanu Agabi.
While Maku scored 178,983 votes, Agabi polled 119,782 votes.
Meanwhile, APC has snatched victory from the Peoples Democratic Party in Jigawa State.
The APC emerged winner with 648,045 votes, thus throwing up its candidate, Badaru Abubakar, as the governor-elect.
Abubakar defeated PDP’s Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, who polled 479,447 votes.
