Bayelsa State Deputy Speaker Victor Ateki has lost his Brass Constituency 1 seat to the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Sunny Igoli.
Igoli, the erstwhile aide to former Governor Timipre Sylva, won the House of Assembly election by a landslide.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said he scored 4,328 votes to defeat Ateki, a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 2766.
