President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated Gen. muhammadu Buhari on his electoral victory and assured him of maximum cooperation and a smooth transition.
President Jonathan reportedly put a momentous telephone call through to Buhari at about 5.15 pm.
Present with Buhari when the call came through were the DG of APC Presidential Campaign and Gov. of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, Gov. of Nasarawa State, Almakura, Sen. Chris Ngige,, Gov. Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, as well as Senator Abdllahi Adamu.
Meanwhile, the much awaited result of Borno State has been finally released with the APC winning with 473, 543 votes against PDP’s 25, 640 votes.
