An All Progressives Congress APC chieftain in Gombe State, Senator Danjuma Goje, has been placed under house arrest, in his Kashere village by armed soldiers.
The soldiers reportedly claimed they were acting on directive from Abuja, according to a statement by his media assistant, Lateef Bamgbose.
The statement said further that “While no reason has been given for his arrest, he has been detained with all his aides in his residence in his personal residence, in Gombe.”
“The distinguished senator has been under house arrest for more than five hours and there is no sign that he will regain his freedom soon”,Bambgbose said.
