The Controller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, retired Colonel Hameed Ali, has arrived the National Assembly.

Ali was summoned by the Senate for questioning on the controversial vehicle duty already announced susupended by the NCS.

However, rather than come in his uniform as demanded by the upper legislative chamber, the retired army colonel was dressed in mufti, a white caftan.

On arrival, Ali, in company of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang met with the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, who is presiding at today’s session.

After about five minutes in Ekweremadu’s office, he left for Enang’s office to allow the DSP enter the Red Chamber.
