Davido, the Afrobeats star, says he will “protect, respect, and connect” Chioma, his newly wedded wife.

Davido and Chioma’s star-studded ceremony was held on Tuesday at an undisclosed location in Lagos.

The wedding hosted close friends, family, and notable figures.

Among those present are the governor of Osun state Ademola Adeleke who is an uncle to Davido, the former president Olusegun Obasanjo, and the Ooni of Ife.

Other personalities present include the Lagos governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the business mogul Obi Cubana.

While performing the traditional rites of seeking his in-law’s prayers, Davido assured Chioma of a “lifetime insurance”.

He promised his wife newly-wedded wife would be “protected, respected, and connected”.

Davido described their wedding as “the happiest day of my life”.

“I am begging. I have only two words lifetime insurance. Your daughter will be protected, respected, and connected. Mummy, Daddy, I love you. I am happy. This is the happiest day of my life,” he said.

After the event, Davido gifted his wife with a new white SUV car.

However, in March 2023, the singer disclosed that he and Chioma had officially married.
