The final burial rites for the former Chief of General Staff (CGS), Lt.-Gen. Oladipo Diya, will begin on Wednesday, July 26 with a night of tributes.
The Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to the late Diya, Olawale Adekoya, announced this yesterday in Lagos.
Gen. Diya died on March 26 at the age of 78.
The burial programme showed that a service of songs will hold on Thursday, July 27, and the Christian wake will hold on Friday, July 28. The announcement also showed that the funeral rites, church services, interment, final laying to rest and reception will hold on Saturday, July 29.
The four-day event will be rounded off with a thanksgiving service on July 30. Adekoya said the family will announce other details in due course.
