Uzoma Nnena Okoro is an Abuja-based businesswoman and one of the 60 lucky winners of a trip to Brazil in the DStv Let’s Go To Brazil promo. In this encounter, Okoro explains the thrill she is experiencing in her rare opportunity to travel to Brazil during the ongoing FIFA 2014 World Cup. Excerpts…

Could you briefly share your background with us?

I am married with four children, three boys and a girl. I currently live in Mogadishu Cantonment in Abuja and I am fifty-one years old and a businesswoman.

What was your reaction to the news that you’d emerged a winner in the DStv Let’s Go To Brazil promo?

When I received a call from Multichoice, I thought it was from one of the fraudsters that specialise in conning people through promotions. That belief persisted until I received an e-mail from MultiChoice, which actually showed that the phone call I got was not from a prankster.

How much are you looking forward to the trip?

To be honest with you, I am eagerly looking forward to the trip. It is a lifetime opportunity that I never expected.

What I will be taking back with me from the trip will be the experience and the exposure to more than one culture, as I’d be mixing with people of other nationalities in Brazil.

Did you have any doubts about redeeming the prize you won in the promo?

I didn’t have any doubts once the e-mail from MultiChoice provided a confirmation that I had actually won a trip to Brazil. That made me realise that the phone call I got was truly from MultiChoice.

For how long have you been a subscriber?

I have been a subscriber since 2005.

Is this your first time of winning in a promo?

I had won prizes in small scale promos, but this is the first time I am winning a prize of this size and in a promo as big as Let’s Go To Brazil.
