Ex-military men under the aegis of Military pensioners pressure group, Eleyele, Ibadan have thrown their weight behind the various anti-corruption tactics of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The association urged Buhari to look into the payment of pensioners salaries latest by 25th of every month saying deferring it to another month is another corruption.
Chairman of the association, Gabriel Oaikhena in a press release made available to our correspondent in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital also implored the president to extend the same gesture to the federal and state workers as well as to military pensioners by paying their four years arrears owed by the former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
According to him, “The good hand of fellowship you extended to federal and state workers by paying their bulk arrears owed them should also be extended to military pensioners by paying their four years of arrears owed them by Jonathan administration.
He urged the President to yield to this advice saying no demons can stop him. “Implement this and no demons that can stop your moving train, thank God you are not a womanizer”
According to Oaikhena “God who gave you victory in the faces of your enemies will not allow your enemies to cut-short your life in Jesus name, Amen”.
