FG relocates FAAN headquarters to Lagos

The Federal Government (FG) has relocated the headquarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) from Abuja to Lagos.

The move is believed to be targeted at streamlining decision-making processes, reducing administrative red tape, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of air travel management within the country.

The relocation was officially announced by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, in a memo dated January 15, 2024, and signed by the Managing Director of FAAN, Olubunmi Kuku.

The memo reads: “The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development has directed that the Headquarters of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) be relocated from Abuja to Lagos.

“Consequent upon the above, you are requested to provide the implications of the relocation to the management.”
