First Bank of Nigeria Limited, through its First@arts initiative has partnered the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) in hosting the COSON Week 2015.
This partnership is in line with the Bank’s initiative to drive perception change, grow brand affinity among the youth and the upwardly mobile segment with great support for capacity building in the creative and performing arts industry.
This year’s COSON Week is scheduled to run from Sunday, November 1 to Saturday, November 7, 2015.
The COSON Week 2015 which will attract leaders and key players in the nation’s entertainment industry promises to raise-the-bar of entertainment in Nigeria.
In his words, the COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji said “COSON was established to put value to the intellectual property rights of Nigerian artistes and others who invest in the music industry.
“During the forthcoming COSON week, you should expect awe inspiring events different from anything you have seen before. Lagos will be lit up for seven days in a myriad of colours, and each of the seven back-to-back events will leave Nigerian entertainment lovers with an unforgettable experience.”
According to the Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, FirstBank, Folake Ani-Mumuney, the partnership with COSON Week 2015 accentuates the Bank’s, and indeed, the FBNHoldings Group position to drive enterprise in the Nigerian economy and promote the development of creative and performing arts industry.
“FirstBank is particularly interested in Arts and Culture and has established First@arts initiative as a platform dedicated to promoting arts and culture events”, she stated.
A line up of key activities to mark the week include the COSON lecture scheduled to hold on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Lagos Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja; the COSON Green Ball slated for Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Muson Centre, Lagos and COSON Song Awards which will hold on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the New Expo Hall, Eko Hotel & Suite, Victoria Island, Lagos.
