Ndigbo Unity Forum (NUF), a socio-political group in Enugu State, has hailed Sunday’s emergence of Dr Tony Nwoye as All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Nov. 18 governorship election in Anambra.
President of the forum, Augustine Chukwudum, told newsmen in Enugu on Sunday, that Nwoye’s emergence was a welcomed development.
According to Chukwudum, Nwoye’s victory will help to actualize APC’s aspiration to gain power in Anambra and serve the people better.
“We welcome the development in APC primary and the emergence of Nwoye. His emergence portrays equity, justice and fairness.
“We, as a group, hereby assure him of our support in making sure that he and APC win the Nov. 18 governorship election in Anambra,” he said.
Chukwudum urged all progressive minds and people of Anambra to rally round Nwoye to ensure that progress was returned to Anambra.
“Nwoye is tested and trusted. He has lived above board. He has not been found wanting in any office he held in the past and present.
