IG redeploys Lagos, Ogun, Rivers CPs

The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase has ordered the redeployment of Police Commissioners in Lagos, Ogun and Rivers States.

According to a statement by Emmanuel Ojukwu of the Force Public Relations, the redeployment is in line with the determination of the IGP to inject fresh ideas in the security architecture in the affected states and some other Force Headquarters Formations.

The IGP has ordered postings of new Commissioners of Police as stated below.

Under the new arrangement, Ajani Fatai Owoseni moves to Lagos, Abdulmajid Ali takes charge in Ogun while Chris Ezike is the new Rivers State Police Commissioner.

CP Dan Bature moves to Abuja as CP Intelligence FCIID, Force Headquarters, Valentine Ntomchukwu becomes CP Admin dept of Logistics and Supply, while Hyelasinda Kimo Musa is the new
CP Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FCIID FHQ, Abuja.

Kayode Aderanti, the immediate past Lagos CP moves to Abuja as
CP Admin. department of Operations and E. J. Ibine now heads Port Authority Eastern Command, while CP Ogbusua Aja Oleh is the new Provost, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

The statement stressed that the IGP expects that the new postings will reverse the crime wave in the affected states, while also strengthening administration in the affected strategic Force Headquarters Formations.
