IGP redeploys 36 senior officers

The Acting Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, has approved the redeployment of 36 senior police officers.

In a statement Saturday, Abba reassigned eight Deputy Inspector-Generals and 28 Assistant Inspector-Generals.

Those reassigned in the DIG category include Dan’azumi as second in command, Force Headquarters, Abuja; Hilary Opara, DIG, Department of Finance and Administration; Sotonye Leroy Wakama, Department of Operations; Mamman Ibrahim Tsafe, Department of Logistics and supply; Solomon Arase, Criminal Investigations and Saliu Argungu Hashimu, department of training.

Others in this category are Kakwe Christopher Katso, research and planning; David Omojola, Information communication technology.

In the Assistant Inspector General Category are Sule Mamman as Force Secretary; Ballah Magaji Nasarawa, Force Inteligence Bureau, Abuja; Kalafite Helen Adeyemi, Commandant Police Staff College, Jos; Adisa Baba-Bolanta, Commandant, Police Academy, Kano, Tambari Muhammed, AIG Zone 1 Kano; Umaru Abubakar Manko, AIG Zone 2 Lagos; Mohammed Jinjiri Abubakar, AIG Zone 3 Yola.

Others include Adeola Adeleye Adeniji, AIG Zone 4 Makurdi; Musa Abdulsalam Daura, AIG Zone 5 Benin City;
Mark Adamu Idakwo, AIG Zone 6 Calabar; Mbu Joseph Mbu, AIG Zone 7 Abuja; Christopher Terhrem Dega, AIG Zone 8 Lokoja; Usman Akila Gwarry, AIG Zone 9 Umuahia; Bala Hassan, AIG Zone 10 Sokoto; Ambrose Aisabor, AIG Zone 11 Osogbo.

A statement by Emmanuel Ojukwu, Force Public Relations Officer, said that while charging the Senior Officers to bring their experience to bear on their new postings, the IGP urges the public to partner closely with the force in its determination to ensure improved safety and security of our country.
