Marcia Fudge, US secretary of the department of housing and urban development, says she’s honoured to lead the US delegation to the inauguration ceremony of Bola Tinubu, Nigeria’s president-elect.
Fudge was appointed as the head of a nine-member delegation by US President Joe Biden, to attend the May 29 inauguration.
“I am honored to lead the presidential delegation to Nigeria to attend the inauguration of His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the delegation lead said in a tweet on Wednesday.

Sydney Kamlager-Dove, United States Rep (D), California.
Marisa Lago, under secretary of commerce for international trade, US department of commerce

Mary Catherine Phee, assistant secretary of state for the bureau of African Affairs, US department of state.
Judd Devermont, special assistant to the president and senior director for African affairs, national security council.
Monde Muyangwa, assistant administrator for the bureau for Africa, US Agency for International Development (USAID).
Tinubu’s emergence as president-elect is being challenged at the election petition tribunal by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) who polled second and third respectively.
