Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has said he is still fit to serve the state in any capacity the people want him.

The former governor who said he will not do anything that will pull down the government of Senator Abiola Ajimobi said that the needs the peace in the Oyo State House of Assembly to focus on governance.

Ladoja who said age is a thing of the mind, said 2015 was still far to decide who will contest or not but nullified the claim by the ruling government that he was old to become a governor.

Ladoja who stated this while speaking with newsmen in Ibadan, said the Accord party has started massive mobilisation to position the party for electoral victory in the future.

“My party will decide those who will contest in 2015. We have asked members to keep their ambitions to their heart while we embark on state-wide mobilisation.

“You cannot possibly exclude me from 2015 elections. Age is a thing of the mind. I am as fit as a 40 year old man. The government house is not a place people go as governor to crack stones and lift weight.

“It is all about administration. An administrator is an administrator. You cannot buy experience with money. If my people want me, I will not reject them,” he said.

On the talks between him and his former deputy, Alao-Akala, Ladoja said the committees set up were still working out a common ground, saying the Accord is open to any merger talks that will favour the masses.
