The candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in Saturday’s governorship election in Kogi, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, has denied a report that he had stepped down for the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Dino Melaye.

Braimoh said that he was fully in the race to win the governorship poll and provide good leadership for the people that has been missing.

Speaking through his media aide, Musa Olumayowa Yakubu, the Action Alliance flag bearer added that he was in the race to liberate the people of the state for the vestiges of slavery.

The AA candidate said he was amazed to hear that he had collapse his structure for Melaye, calling on his supporters to disregard the report.

He said that having campaign across the 21 local government areas and engaged people, he is more convinced that Kogi people are ready for a paradigm shift.

He said,” the false claims are clear signs that oppositions are jittery of his rising acceptance across the state with the record defections from major parties and their endorsements.

“I confidently reassure all residents that I have not and will not step down for . anyone as I am poised to win at the poll.
