Gaya Mark, the Aide de Camp to the deputy Governor of Kwara State, Peter Kisra, is dead.
Mark, 40, a police inspector, was suspected to have died of cardiac arrest on Wednesday.
A source, said Mark had an issue with unidentified commercial motorcyclist, popularly called Okada, who allegedly was about breaking into the deputy governor’s convoy.
The source said the deceased had altercations with the okada rider and in the process, slumped and later died.
The incident was said to have occurred near a bank at Illofa Road, Ilorin.
Another source, who craved anonymity claimed that the deceased was only ensuring orderliness of the convoy when the sickness became aggravated and he slumped and later died.
He said, “Contrary to speculations, there was no exchange of either hand or words between the deceased and the Okada man.
“Mark was survived by a wife and three children and his remains have since been deposited at the mortuary wing of the University of Ilorin, UITH.
