The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Education, has commenced the sale of forms for screening of primary six pupils into Junior Secondary Schools (JSS1) of its Model Colleges/Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools for the 2016/2017 academic session.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Olabisi Ariyo, who disclosed this in her office, explained that the test would either be the Computer Based Test (CBT), or the regular Pencil Based Test (PBT), but that the candidates have the right to choose the version they wish to do.

Ariyo stated that the screening test is the only yardstick for admission of pupils into JS 1 in any of the State 15 Model Colleges/Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools across the six Education Districts.

She explained that the registration would be done through a customized CD that would be made available to candidates by the State Examination Board after the payment of N10,000 into any branch of Fidelity Bank, Skye Bank or FCMB.

According to her, both the PBT and the CBT will hold on Saturday, 14th May, 2016, but that while the PBT will done at designated centres, the CBT will hold at the ICT/ Computer Centre in the State Examinations Board at Agege.

She urged members of the general public, parents, guardians, head teachers, proprietors and proprietresses of primary schools in the State to take note.
