One month after more than 200 schoolgirls were abducted by the Boko Haram sect, President Goodluck Jonathan is scheduled to visit the Chibok community on Friday, according to senior government officials.
Reuters reports that it will be Jonathan’s first visit to Chibok, the epicentre of a growing international effort to rescue the girls, since they were abducted.
Officials said he will also travel to Paris, France, for a regional security summit where Boko Haram will be discussed.
