President Bola Tinubu will on Wednesday depart Abuja for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, on a three-day official visit.

In a statement on Tuesday, Ajuri Ngelale, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, said the trip is at the behest of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

The statement said Tinubu will meet with Mbasogo at the presidential villa on arrival.

He said the presidents will discuss agreements, particularly on oil and gas and security. “The President will be accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other members of his cabinet who will be involved in the signing of agreements and review of opportunities to improve bilateral relations,” the statement reads.

In April, Tinubu visited The Netherlands at the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
