The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, has lost his 25-year-old daughter, Fatima Kyari.
NewMailNG gathered that Fatima passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, in Abuja.
The funeral prayers held at the Annur Mosque in Abuja were attended by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima and other dignitaries, friends, and associates of the Kyari family.
In his condolence message, President Bola Tinubu, in a statement by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga sympathized with Kyari and the rest of the family on the irreparable and painful loss.
President Tinubu prayed for the repose of the soul of Fatima and urges the Kyari family to stay strong at these trying times.
Also, Shettima expressed his heartfelt sympathy to Mele Kyari and his family as he prayed for the peaceful repose of Fatima’s soul and strength for the family to endure the tragic loss.
The Vice President also led mourners during the funeral prayers, joining in the collective prayer for the young woman who passed away in her prime.
The condolence message, released by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, conveyed Shettima’s deep sorrow and prayers for the family during this difficult time.
Fatima Kyari’s death has drawn widespread sympathy, with many offering prayers and support to the Kyari family.
