Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky have signed new Arsenal contracts, the club has announced.
Mertesacker had in October opened talks over an extension committing him to the club until 2017 and revealed a new deal for Rosicky was in the offing in November.
Mertesacker has been rewarded for forging a hugely successful partnership with Laurent Koscielny, while Rosicky’s experience has made him useful to the Gunners in big matches.
“We are delighted that Mertesacker and Rosicky have committed their futures to the club,” Arsene Wenger told the club’s official website.
“They are players of exceptional quality and experience, and have consistently proven themselves at the highest level. There is a great feeling of togetherness and belief in the group and this news will only help to strengthen this further.”
