The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, have been sued for contempt by the state governments of Kaduna, Kogi, and Zamfara for disobeying the Supreme Court’s order suspending the ban on the old N200, N500, and N1,000 notes.

On Tuesday, a new case was brought before the Supreme Court.

On February 3, the three state governments filed a lawsuit against the federal government and the CBN regarding the redesign of the naira policy.
