NECO records 68.5 percent credit pass in Maths, English

The National Examination Council, NECO on Thursday released its June/July 2015 results that show remarkable improvement when compared to previous examinations.

The results, which was released 60 days after the examinations was written in June, showed 76 percent credit pass in English Language and 61 percent credit pass in Mathematics.

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, while announcing the results at the Council’s national headquarters in Minna, Niger State on Thursday, noted that the results were an improvement on the previous exams conducted between 2011 and 2014.

Garba, who coincidentally is spending his 100 days in office on Thursday, said 969,991 candidates registered for the examinations, out of which 969,491 actually sat for the papers, with 68.56 percent of the candidates recording five credits and above, including Mathematics and English.
