The management of National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, has commended the diplomatic skills exhibited by the High Commissioner of Nigeria to Ghana, Ambassador Olufemi Abikoye, during the recent visit of NIPSS participants to Ghana.
Participants of Senior Executive Course 40 were in Ghana from 23 July to 3 August, 2018, on a tour of the country.
The commendation was contained in a “Letter of Appreciation” addressed to Ambassador Olufemi Michael Abikoye, dated August 9, 2018 and signed by NIPSS Acting Director-General, Jonathan M Juma, mni.
“We particularly thank Your Excellency for your personal interest and close involvement in the process leading to the approval of the tour by the host government.
“We note further, with tremendous satisfaction, that you placed at the disposal of the team, the requisite diplomatic skills and resources which guaranteed a highly successful tour.
“We also appreciate the close support the team received from the staff of the Embassy. This, no doubt, is a commendable manifestation of Your Excellency’s determination to nurture and sustain the existing cordial relations between Nigeria and Ghana,” the letter reads in part.
Recall that Amb Abikoye, a career diplomat, resumed as High Commissioner to Ghana in August, 2017.
