OAU to honour Yusuf Ali with excellence in research award

Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has announced the selection of one of its distinguished alumni, a legal luminary and astute scholar, Professor Yusuf Ali (SAN) for the prestigious University Award of Excellence in Research Practice for the year 2024.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Simeon Bamire, who made this disclosure in a media chat, noted that it is with great honor that the University is extending its heartfelt congratulations to Professor Yusuf Ali (SAN) for his remarkable achievements, adding that the Excellence in Research Practice Award is bestowed upon an alumnus who has demonstrated exceptional contributions to knowledge-based accomplishments, both nationally and globally.
Professor Yusuf Ali’s selection for this esteemed accolade is a testament to his outstanding dedication and significant impact on society, particularly in the advancement of law and legal practices in Nigeria, Africa, and worldwide.
The Vice-Chancellor further noted that this marks the second edition of the University Award of Excellence in Research Practice, and Professor Yusuf Ali (SAN) stands as the distinguished awardee for the year 2024. The award presentation and celebration are scheduled to take place on July 30, 2024, where Professor Yusuf Ali (SAN) will be honored alongside the best students from all departments and outstanding staff members.
In addition to receiving this prestigious award, Professor Yusuf Ali (SAN) has been entrusted with the role of mentorship for the exceptional students of the year 2024. During the ceremony, the legal luminary will deliver a presentation reflecting on his life principles and dedication to inspiring and motivating future generations of scholars.
