Segun Odegbami, the Governorship Candidate of Zenith Labour Party (LP) in Ogun, has congratulated Dapo Abiodun, the Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for his victory at the March 9 Governorship election.
Odegbami told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota, Ogun, on Tuesday that: “I know him little, yet I heartily congratulate him for his success at the last Governorship election in Ogun State. I wish him the best of luck.”
According to him, Abiodun has a massive challenge ahead of him as he mounts the seat of government.
He said that the governor-elect had been given a great mission to fulfil by presenting him the unique opportunity to do what is right from his experience and should be humble and wise.
Odegbami also reminded Abiodun that the majority of the votes that got him into office were not all directly for him as an individual but a divine design for people to vote for the Buhari/ Osinbajo government.
The Zenith Labour Party candidate, however, thanked all those that supported him.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on Monday declared Abiodun winner of the Governorship poll in the state.
Abiodun scored 241, 670 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mr Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), who polled 222,153 votes.
