The Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Olajide, inaugurated Engineer Seyi Makinde and his wife Tamunominini as Aare Atayese and Yeye Aare Atayese of Ibarapaland on Saturday.
Shortly before the state flag-off of the governor’s campaign in Igboora, the installation ceremony was held in the palace of the Olu of Igboora.

According to a statement by the governor’s reelection campaign council’s media committee, Makinde praised the Kabiyesi, all the obas, and traditional chiefs in Ibarapaland after the installation.

He further claimed that the title was a recognition of his contributions to the neighborhood’s development.

“I am quite honored by this chieftaincy title bestowed upon me today,” he remarked.

Actually, I had no idea about this installation; I only learned about the possibility of receiving an honorary title here this morning. I would have invited my wife to attend this event with me if I had known.

“We will make every effort to facilitate the correct coronation ceremony the next time we visit Ibarapaland for our LG to LG campaign.

For this reason, I would want to express my gratitude to the Kabiyesi, all of the Obas, and the traditional leaders of Ibarapaland.

“Normally, people seldom ever receive praise in their field, but this demonstration of gratitude for the work we have accomplished will inspire us to achieve even more.

“Therefore, I want to thank everyone in Ibarapaland for their support given to this government. I want to assure you that Omituntun 2.0 will be an upgrade over Omituntun 1.0.”

The installation ceremony was witnessed by the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olusola Alao; Onidere of Idere, Oba Kingsley Aderoju; Onilala of Lanlate, Oba Sunday Oladejo and the Oluaso of Iberekodo, Oba Jamiu Ademola.
