Barely 24 hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in the Saturday’s governorship election, Governor Rauf Aregbesola winner, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Osun state and its candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore have expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome of the last Governorship election in the state.
Both the PDP and Omisore have declared that they would challenge the result of the election before the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
Senator Omisore said that the outcome of the election did not reflect the wishes of the people of the state, hence his resolve to challenge it before the Elections Petition Tribunal.
The state chairman of the party, Ganiyu Olaoluwa in a statement issued in Osogbo Monday said the PDP would challenge the results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
