The Osun State House of Assembly has announced the revocation of the warrant of arrest issued against the immediate past Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Muyiwa Ige, over his alleged refusal to appear before the lawmakers investigating a land matter at Ilobu.

The former commissioner is a son of a former Governor of Old Oyo State between 1979 and 1983 under the Unity Party of Nigeria.

The revocation was contained in a statement made available to our correspondent in Osogbo on Friday by a Personal Assistant to Ige, Lekan Odediran.

“Osun State House of Assembly in another announcement aired on Osun State Broadcasting Corporation on Thursday at 6pm informed that all issues had been resolved while the earlier warrant of arrest has been revoked.

“The State House of Assembly members led by the Acting Speaker, Hon. Adegboye Akintunde met with Arc. Ige where all issues were sorted and emphasis was laid on communication gap.”

The statement quoted Ige as restating that he was not aware of the invitation by the lawmakers and that was why he did not honour the invitation.

While assuring that he will not relent in contributing his best for the development of the state under the able leadership of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, he stressed that he would not derail from the training and upbringing by his late parents.
