Nigerian billionaire and chairman of the Geregu power plant, Femi Otedola, has given a N1M each to 750 students of Augustine University Lagos.
The Zenon Oil who boss was inducted as the chancellor of Augustine University, a Catholic university located in Otedola’s hometown, Epe, in Lagos State, was emotionally touched when he asked the VC of the school, “how many students does the school have? He told 750 students.
He nodded his head without uttering any other words and later in his address to the guests gathered inside the hall, announced a donation of 750 million naira to the students, which is 1 million per student, which is his own way of subsiding the hardship that the students are going through, but most importantly, giving back to a society that had given him so much.
The best part of the whole experience was that his nonagenarian mom, who clocked 90 years last year, was present to see his son’s finest glory.
This is the best news that I heard today from one of the students at the university who shared the news.
Things I love to see
