Otedola to fund building project at Lagos law school

Femi Otedola, billionaire businessman and chairman of Geregu Power, has expressed commitment to build a staff quarters at the Lagos campus of the Nigerian Law School.

Isa Chiroma, director-general (DG) of the Nigerian Law School, announced this in Abuja on Tuesday in his address to the body of benchers during the call-to-bar ceremony. 

Chiroma said Aliko Dangote, president of the Dangote Group, and Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), have also pledged to undertake building projects in Kano and Abuja law school campuses.

“Chief Femi Otedola has agreed to build staff quarters in Lagos Campus of the Nigerian law school,” Ciroma said.

“Alhaji Aliko Dangote has agreed to build student’s hostel in Kano Campus of the Nigerian Law School.

“The honourable minister of the capital territory, Abuja Barrister Nyeson Wike, CON has agreed to build staff quarters in Abuja Campus of the Nigerian Law School as well as provision of official vehicles to the Nigerian law school.

“These interventions are coming at a critical phase of our development period where there is an astronomical increase in the number of applicants into the Nigerian Law School. 

“Words are not enough to thank you for your intervention in the Nigerian Law School. We urge others to follow in your footsteps.”
